I’m Charles Pitts. I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology and I am a registered psychotherapist (OPQ 60538-13). My office is located at La Maison Corriveau - West Island Wellness Centre in Beaconsfield, Québec, where I provide private counselling and I participate in Employee Assistance Programs.
I offer an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, in French and English. I also offer my clients the benefits of clinical hypnotherapy to reduce stress, manage chronic pain, relieve sleep disorders and modify undesired behaviours (smoking, phobia and compulsive eating and drinking, etc.). My work has been highly influenced by humanist and behavioural psychology, as well as by transactional analysis and, most recently, by the positive influence over mind and body in clinical hypnosis. I am a former vice-president of l’Association québécoise des psychothérapeutes (SQPP) and I am currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Société québécoise d’hypnose and a contributor to the organizing committee of the 2018 World Congress in Hypnosis – Montréal. Having held senior corporate positions in Canada and Europe, I offer guidance in career management and networking. I also lecture in communications at McGill, UQAM, Concordia and the Université de Montréal. In 1998, I founded Oromedia which specialized in health communications and which, for six years, produced health radio programs. I produce national educational webinars for oncology professionals, and act as Executive Director of the Canadian Oncology Societies.
